Media Production Company – Woodland Trust / Dementia Adventure

This is a film I shot a good while back but just realised I never blogged about it. I was hired by the Edinburgh based video production company ‘Mucklehen’ to shoot and edit an event run in collaboration with VisitWoods Scotland  and Dementia Adventure at Lochore Meadows Country Park.

“Dementia Adventure are marking Dementia Awareness Day this year by launching a great new film of their work, and planting 4 trees in memory of the 4 grandparents of the directors who died with the disease.

The recent event, which was a Woodland Celebration Day for people living with dementia from all over Scotland,  was made possible by the Woodland Trust Scotland’s VisitWoods team. The day took place at Lochore Meadows in Fife, a wonderful natural resource – a park around a loch with very good disabled access facilities created on the site of a disused coal mine. It involved over 80 people from all over the central belt of Scotland coming together to enjoy a (rare!) beautiful day and some fresh air. There were nature based activities and crafts on offer, as well as tea and coffee served by young and willing volunteers!

The film was made by Edinburgh film makers, who did a spectacular job – we’re sure you’ll agree!
