I was recently hired by John Doe Hub to capture footage of an exclusive event for whisky journalists. The event featured a taste test of the highly anticipated new Rosebank Distillery whisky, held inside the impressive Kelpies sculpture in Falkirk.
The Kelpies are two 30-meter-high horse head sculptures located at the Helix, a new parkland project built to connect 16 communities in the Falkirk Council area. The sculptures were designed by sculptor Andy Scott, and they’re a must-see attraction in Scotland.
To capture the unique setting and atmosphere of the event, I used a drone to fly around the Kelpies and capture footage of the journalists as they tried the new whisky. The drone allowed me to get a bird’s-eye view of the sculptures and the surrounding landscape, providing a breathtaking perspective that couldn’t have been achieved through traditional photography or videography.
The footage I captured was stunning, and it was a pleasure to work with John Doe Hub on such an exciting project. The final product was an excellent representation of the beauty of Falkirk and the new Rosebank Distillery Whisky.
Visit the Kelpies if you’re ever in Falkirk, and maybe even try some of the brand-new Rosebank Distillery whisky! “And if you need a drone videographer for your next event, don’t hesitate to contact me.”
